When Pathologists Associated, an Indiana-based medical testing facility, merged with a competing facility, the new conglomerate found itself in need of an identity makeover. Our challenge was to carefully craft a new brand identity, while simultaneously capitalizing on existing brand equity.
ST&P started by conducting extensive market research, including focus group testing, to assess existing perceptions and attitudes. Eventually, the name PA Labs was selected and work began on a completely fresh brand identity. Next, ST&P set out to develop a comprehensive literature system that would showcase the company’s capabilities and educate the public about the merger. The new sales collateral consisted of several brochures, each targeted to specific audiences, such as physicians and patients. Finally, ST&P launched an advertising campaign across several media outlets, including newspaper, trade publications, outdoor and direct mail.
Thanks to the marketing efforts carefully planned by ST&P, PA Labs enjoyed a smooth brand launch. The selected advertising vehicles proved effective, and the new literature system provides a detailed view of the company’s capabilities. Meanwhile, the contemporary and stylish design of PA Labs’ new look will help to position the company as a leader in the medical testing field.
